United Arab Emirates.
Emirate of Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi has the largest area of the seven emirates of the UAE.
It occupies about 85% of the country's area
and it is the second most heavily populated emirate.
Emirate of Ajman
Ajman is the smallest of the United Arab Emirates,
approximately 260 square kilometers. It is bordered
on three sides by the Emirates of Sharjah.
Emirate of Dubai
Many of the most luxurious and expensive hotels
in the world are located in the Dubai Emirate,
especially on three artificial islands off the coast
of the Municipality of Dubai.
Emirate of Fujairah
Fujairah a mountainous emirate that is about 440 square miles in size.
Its population is about 130,000. Because of it is higher in
elevation then most of the UAE, it receives more rain,
making it an agriculture center.
Emirate of Ras al-Khaimah
Located in the northern part of the UAE
and it is bordered by Oman. The emirate's population
is about 300,000 and ti covers about 660 square miles
Emirate of Sharjah
The Sharjah Emirate os approximately 1000 square miles
in size and approximately 800,000 people live there.
Cities in towns in Sharjah include the city of Sharjah,
Kalba, Dibba al-Hisn, and Khor Fakkan.
Emirate of Umm al-Quwain
The Umm al-Quwain Emirate is located in the northern
part of the UAE, its area is approximately 750
square kilometers, and it's population is approximately
62,000.
